Michael is a Managing Director at Waller Capital. His primary focus is merger, acquisition and financing advisory services for broadcasting, outdoor advertising and movie theaters companies. He also advises on restructurings and bankruptcy-related transactions.
Michael has 14 years of principal investing and restructuring experience in media, communications & entertainment and has completed over $2 billion of principal investments. Prior to Waller Capital, Michael was a Partner at WWC Securities and lead the investment bank’s restructuring practice. Before WWC, he was a Managing Director with MCG Capital where he invested equity, mezzanine and debt in media and communications companies. Prior to MCG, Michael was with GE Capital’s Media, Communications and Entertainment Group, where worked in various capacities including origination, underwriting, workout and portfolio management.
Mr. McHugh received his undergraduate business degree from University of Richmond and his MBA with honors from Emory University.
