Mr. Smallman has 15 years of investment banking experience and is responsible for originating transactions and developing client relationships in the media, communications and business services sectors.
Prior to joining Waller, Mr. Smallman was the Managing Partner of VALNIC Capital, an M&A boutique he co-founded in 2004. Previously, Mr. Smallman was a Director in Credit Suisse First Boston’s Media & Telecom Group and a Vice President in Deutsche Bank’s Telecom group.
During his career Mr. Smallman has executed over $12 billion in strategic advisory and M&A assignments, $1.4 billion of corporate restructurings and $30 billion of public and private debt, equity and convertible transactions.
Mr. Smallman received a BA Honors & DEBA in Business Administration from the European Business School in London, England as well as a Baccalaureate +4 and a Diploma in European Business Administration from EBS sister schools in Paris, France and Wiesbaden, Germany.
