Jack joined Waller Capital in 1989 after serving as a founder
and Executive Vice President of Enstar Communications.
While at Enstar, Jack was responsible for all acquisitions
and financing and pioneered the use of public limited
partnership financing with an income orientation. At
the time of Enstar's sale to Falcon Communications five
years after its inception, Jack was Chief Operating
Officer.
After joining Waller Capital, Jack immediately led
the Waller Capital team in its efforts to introduce
growing operators to more sophisticated sources of capital.
Jack was responsible for some of Waller's largest and
most innovative transactions, including the $3.1billion
sale of Bresnan Communications to Charter Communications
and the carriage negotiations and private placement
of equity which launched the Sci-Fi Channel. As an advisor,
Jack has initiated and closed 58 transactions valued
at over $11.5Bn.
In 1997, Jack was one of the founding partners of Waller Capital's
first private equity fund, Waller-Sutton Media Partners.
In 2000, Jack raised Waller's second, affiliated fund,
WallerSutton, and now serves as its President and manages
day-to-day operations. These two funds have raised over
$280mm for investments in the media and communications
sectors, and count among their investments Spectrasite,
ChoiceOne, Cablevision and AAT.
Jack attended the University of Georgia where he received a BBA in Accounting
and an MBA in Finance. Following Business School, Jack worked with Arthur
Andersen & Company in the Management Information Consulting Division
where he was a Senior Consultant. |
