Mr. Soraparu is a Managing Director at Waller Capital and has eleven
years of investment banking experience within the telecom and media
industry. He is responsible for originating and leading the execution
of advisory transactions on behalf of his clients.
Prior to joining Waller Capital in 2007, Mr. Soraparu was with Stifel
Nicolaus (formerly Legg Mason Capital Markets) for six years where he
executed transactions for clients across the converging sectors of the
telecom industry. Mr. Soraparu spent the first five years of his career
at Price Waterhouse where he served primarily Fortune 500 clients both
in strategic consulting and financial accounting capacities.
During his career, Mr. Soraparu has completed 40 advisory and financing
transactions for companies in the fiber, CLEC, ILEC, cable, wireless and
tower sectors including: Alpheus Communications, Everest
Communications, RCN Corporation, Q-Comm Corporation (Norlight), Covad
Wireless, Devon Mobile (Adelphia Wireless), Atlantic Tele-Network,
CenturyTel, Commonwealth Telephone, Hector Communications and Vision
Communications. Mr. Soraparu is a frequent speaker at industry
conferences and has spoken most recently at Metro Connect USA and
COMPTEL.
Mr. Soraparu has passed the CPA exam and is a summa cum laude graduate
of the College of Commerce at the University of Illinois. Mr. Soraparu
has also received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of
Business where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar. |
