Mr. Soraparu is a Director at Waller Capital and is responsible for client relationships, business development and transaction execution within the media, communications and information industry sectors.
Prior to joining Waller Capital, Mr. Soraparu was with Stifel Nicolaus (formerly Legg Mason Capital Markets) for six years where he focused principally on originating and executing transactions on behalf of wireline and wireless communications companies. Mr. Soraparu spent the first five years of his career at Price Waterhouse where he served primarily Fortune 500 clients both in strategic consulting and financial accounting capacities.
During his career, Mr. Soraparu has executed over 25 advisory and financing transactions for clients in the media, communications and information industry sectors including: Atlantic Tele-Network, CenturyTel, Conestoga Enterprises, Commonwealth Telephone, Devon Mobile (Adelphia Wireless), Enterprise Communications, Gulf Coast Wireless, Hector Communications, Horizon Telcom and Valor Communications Group. Mr. Soraparu is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Mr. Soraparu has passed the CPA exam and is a summa cum laude graduate of the College of Commerce at the University of Illinois. Mr. Soraparu has also received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar.
