As the Regional Bells’ grip on land-line telephony in urban areas is being challenged by competitive communications providers, Waller Capital has helped these growing companies by providing access to sophisticated private capital and initiating value-creating consolidation.

Waller Capital was among the earliest Wall Street firms to focus on broadband data providers, and has helped a number of them secure capital and successfully exit the business. In addition, Waller Capital is now assisting competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) that have survived a difficult capital markets environment. With healthy balance sheets, these CLECs are now able to access the capital needed to continue winning market share from the incumbents. Meanwhile, in rural America, Waller has been a long-time advisor to rural local exchange carriers (RLECs). As their market presence is pressured by competitive operators, cable companies and wireless carriers, we are advising them on their strategic options amid the convergence, and also assisting them with asset rationalization.
